About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting phone and networking equipment including IP phones, IP paging adapters, ATAs, routers, switches, and wireless access points The candidate should be highly knowledgeable in various telecommunications technologies, such as VoIP, WAN, LAN, and wireless communications.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain cloud phone systems, networking equipment, and other telecommunications equipment
Troubleshoot phone and networking equipment, including IP phones, IP paging adapters, ATAs, routers, switches, and wireless access points
Monitor network performance to identify and resolve connectivity and voice quality issues
Collaborate with other team members to develop solutions to technical issues
Provide technical support to end-users on phone issues
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in telecommunications technologies and recommend improvements to current systems
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Qualifications
High school or equivalent and 2+ years experience in the telecommunications or IT industry
Strong knowledge of telecommunications and networking technologies, such as VoIP, WAN, LAN, and wireless communications
Familiarity with Ubiquiti UniFi and other major networking vendors' products
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining cloud phone systems and networking equipment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, on an on-call basis, as required
